So, I've been stewing about this for the last couple of weeks and I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to be posting anymore. I didn't know that my family and friends were so rude, but boy was I wrong. I posted twice about Ian winning his bodybuilding and he didn't get a single 'congratulations' or 'way to go' or anything. He worked very hard for months and for him to enter his first show and win every category he was in, is a huge accomplishment that none of you even acknowledged. It's just really frustrating.

P.S. I do need to give props to Erik and Angela for being supportive through this whole thing. Thanks guys, we love you all.

In case there's anyone out there that doesn't already know and has been waiting and waiting for this post, Ian did win his competition this weekend. He won his Novice category, then he beat the other winners from three other categories. He also won the show's Best Poser award. He got a trophy for winning Novice and a trophy for being the Best Poser and a sword for winning overall. It's really cool that he was able to go in there for his first show and take it all home. He had a really fun time doing it. For anyone out there that knows Sarge Truesdale, he was up against Ian in the Novice group and he took second to Ian. That was really cool too.

Ian was asked today to be a guest poser for a high school show that they're putting on at East High on Thursday. One of the judges from this weeekend's competition asked him. It'll be nice because there's no pressure to win or anything, he just gets to go out there and do a routine and show off his smokin bod.

You know, the gun show. Bad joke, sorry. As some of you may know. Ian has decided that his new hobby is going to be body building. He's been working for the last 6 months on it, and is looking pretty 'yoked'. He says that sometimes about other guys that are really ripped. I'm assuming that it is some kind of reference to strong cattle???? I don't know what else you yoke.

Anyway, I'm going to put some pics up (don't worry they're PG, I cropped them from the waist up so you don't see his skimpy suit) from January and the after one's from a week ago. We'll post again after the show. We applied his third coat of spray tan to

night, so image him as an Ethiopian. It's wild.

This is our first Christmas tree and I think that it turned out very nice. We're all pretty excited that Ian will be home for Christmas this year. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Such a Slacker

So, last time Ian was home, we celebrated his birthday with a few friends. I made a cake and we went out to dinner at this fun new restaurant. We even took pics of the cake, so I had something to blog about. Oops. Maybe I'll post them when Ian gets home with our other laptop. It's not as good as Angela's or Annies or Amy's cakes, but I'll get better I'm sure. It was delicious though, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Ian doesn't even like cake so I got to choose the flavor. Actually he tried to choose, but I vetoed his idea of a German chocolate cake since he wouldn't be the one enjoying it anyway. :)

Bouncin' Bears

Erik and Angela brought the kids up for a fun-filled weekend with Uncle Ian and Aunt Beth. Angela held on to the new nugget, but we got the three big ones. If anyone doesn't know, Bouncin' Bears is a big warehouse full of inflatable big toy things. I don't even know what to call them. Ian said that it's worse than Chuck E. Cheese, but I disagree. I got a pretty sweet video of Kali being her usual spazzy self. Our pictures aren't as good as Erik's, but we didn't have time to set up our flashes and other equipment.

I know that it's been a while. Sorry. :) I was just waiting for some pics to post. I only have one, but it's better than none. Ian and I got to spend the weekend in Soldotna with the fam while they were here. Ian went dipnetting on Sunday. He did it the wussy way. Mom and I did it old school on Monday morning. We were slaying them. It would have been so nice to have someone on beach to take care of all the fish we were hauling in, but it was just us girls. We got 27 fish in just under two hours. It was pretty sweet. Here's a picture of Ryan and Nonnie's kids when we went to the chainsaw carving place on Tuesday. Ian had to get back for our Monday night softball game, but I stayed an extra day to hang out. Mom and I had Ryan's and Erik's kids that day. We were going to take them hiking, but it was cold, windy and raining, so we opted for the Kenai Cultural Center, the Wildlife Refuge and the Chainsaw carving place. All in all, a pretty fun day.

Record highs

Here's another lame post without pictures. I just wanted all of you that don't live in the great state of AK that Anchorage just had a record high today. Officially it was 82 degrees but my truck said that it was 89. It definately felt like 100 degrees. The poor kids at preschool had to play outside all day today. The other teacher in my room switched off with me on being outside. We played with water, so that kept us cool enough. I definately let myself get a little wet too. It's amazing. This really doesn't feel like Alaska. I'm lovin' it (McDonalds?)

Humpy's Tournament

This weekend our team played in a tournament sponsored by Humpy's. We played three games yesterday and won one of them. It was double elimination, so we were out after our third game. It was a lot of fun though. It was a different kind of game because when you get up to bat you only get one pitch. You automatically start with 2 strikes and 3 balls. So, if you strike or foul, you're out and if the pitcher throws a ball, you're walked. I thought that it would be fun to play that way, but it really sucked. There were different leagues in the tournament also. We played a team in the same league (D), one better, and one worse. Another stipulation in this tournament was that if the teams weren't in the same league, then the better team spots the other team 4 runs. The only team that we beat was in C league (better than us). It was pretty exciting. We would have even beat them without the 4 runs they gave us. The last game we lost was to a team in the E league. If we hadn't given them 4 runs we could have beat them. We also had a bad ump. Don't you hate when people make excuses for losing? It was true though.

Anyway, I'm sure you all enjoyed my diatribe. It was pretty fun though. We were there from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. We had a good cheering section. Both our parents were there and it was awesome. I wish that we could have done more winning for them, but oh well. Ian played really good. He jacked up his arm some more, but he's pretty tough. I need to work on my catching though.

Another week, another softball game. Yesterday was a lot better than the previous weeks though. We finally WON!! I think that the final score was 14-8 or something crazy like that. I guess that it really does make a difference having Ian here. Justin even hit two homeruns. Everything just worked out well for us yesterday. Yeah us!!!

Oh yeh, no pictures. Sorry, we were just too busy kicking some butt.

So, I'm sure that you've all been waiting for an update on our oh-so-exciting softball league. Guess what...we lost again. This time it was down to the wire. 10-11. I'm sure that we would have done a lot better if Ian were there. Miss you sugar.

Works going good for me. Ian's loving being home while the weather is beautiful. We had a game yesterday and lost 10-12. It was a really good game though. I have moved to first base. It sucks because there's a lot of pressure, but I'm the longest, so I got stuck with it. It came in handy yesterday when I had to really stretch for a few. We brought our camera to the game, but forgot to use it. At least we're getting one step closer.

Softball

Ian and I have joined a Co-Ed softball team. He's the star (short stop) and I'm the catcher (it's slow pitch). we had our first game Monday night and got KILLED. We had the good fortune to play the best team in our league and they took us out. We're a brand new team, and have to get used to each other. I think that the final score was 22-4. Yeah, we can only go up from there. We have some really good players and then we have some girls :) Cady Bon is on our team as well. She plays second base and is better than she thought she would be. Go girl! We forgot our camera yesterday, but I'll be sure to take some pics next week. We play a game every Monday evening, and then we have some tournaments on some weekends. I'll post our schedule later so that anyone in town can come see us.

Hey everyone. Guess where this little Mormon girl got a job...a Jewish preschool. Yeah, they don't discriminate against Christians there. I'm pretty stoked about it. I get to be a teacher for the 3-5 year old class. I doubt that I'll be 'teaching' as much as babysitting, but it'll still be fun. I start Monday. Yippee. The place's full name is Congregational Beth Shalom Jewish Educational Center, or CBS JEC for short. Kind of a mouthful. I get a loaf of challah (pronounced Hollah) ever Shabbat (Friday). I have only spent a few hours there so far and I'm already learning so much. It's so hard for me to not say challah, all gangster-like. "Hollah!" I also find myself humming Adam Sandler's Hannukah song all the time too. Don't worry about me converting though, I'm a Christian through and through.

I never thought that I'd be one of those people, but here I am and I'm loving it. :) Here's a little disclaimer. They don't look nearly as dumb in real life as they do in these pictures. The flash gives them that drunky/high look.

Hail the Conquering Graduate

Yesterday I had the privilege to support my friend Cady Bon at her graduation. I also came to the conclusion that you couldn't pay me enough to walk at my graduation. I'll have my diploma mailed to me. I left after she walked up there and got hers, and was still there for two freakin hours. I can only imagine that it would be a million times worse sitting there in the heat wearing a polyester robe. Sweat and I don't get along very well. But I just wanted to give a shout out to her. WAY TO GO CADY BON BON!!!! She got a Bachelors in psychology. Yeah, she's only like 22, and graduating already. Weird. I might graduate by the time I'm 30 or so. I didn't get any pics at the shin-dig but here's a picture of the program and her name in it. You go girl!

P.S. Cum Laude means that she had really good grades. I had to ask because I didn't know.

Yeah, Ian likes to think that he has that kind of power, and I usually just go with it. I don't want you all to think that I'm the type of wife that puts up with that crap, but I am :)

Here're some more pics from the trip. Ian ended up not going on any of the freaky rides, but he did get pics of the crazy acrobatics of Cirque. The 2nd and 3rd are of the ceiling above the stage. People came out of that hole in the tope. SWEET!

The quality's not great because he didn't have time to set up all his flashes and backdrops and stuff, but he worked with what he had. Actually, he wasn't supposed to be taking pics in there, so I think that he was hiding it.

Some water volleyball fun is the key to any great vacation
This is my (Ian) first time blogging and not exactly sure how this works. Vegas was a great time as you can see. I will be adding more pictures but right now this is it. I see all of you girls are wanting to take a trip with Beth but I'm going to have to veto that idea. The next vacation is going to be all of team Leach and it is looking like the Bahamas. Don't be sending me hateful comments for the veto because we see that we should spend vacations together.

I was fine with Ian going to Vegas and having fun in the sun. Until the other day. He got to go to the Cirque du Soleil show, 'O'. He and his friend, Justin (Dub), went on Friday night. Yeah, I'm jealous. Totally jealous. He took some pics for me, even though he wasn't supposed to. I'll post them when he gets home. For now, I'll just post some from the internet. He said it was amazing, and I believe him.

Vegas and Finals

Ian has informed me that he's been very good about taking pictures while he's in Vegas. He gets home on Monday night, so I'll get them posted ASAP. When we have exciting things going on in our lives I get excited to blog about it, because it's a pretty rare thing. The boys are staying at the Stratosphere, so I've put a pic of it up. These are the rides at the top of the hotel. I don't know if Ian plans on going on them, but I know that I would NOT be planning on it. BLEH!!! Ian also says that it's in the mid 90's down there. I think that I would die in that kind of heat.

I'm in my final week of school. I have class on Monday, and then I'm done until Fall. I can't tell you how happy I am to be done with this semester. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to do my student teaching until 2010. I was 10 credits short, so I'm going to have to wait a whole nother year. (I guess 'nother' isn't really a word, any idea if there's a different way to spell it?)

Hey everybody,

Ian and I got to take a little road trip down to the hometown. Ian has been going to the same lady to have his hair cut since he was like 5 years old. He needed a little trim before his big trip to Vegas, so we went down for a visit. Yeh, we drove four and a half hours for a freakin haircut. I sure love that little primadonna. Nothing too exciting happened when we were down there.

Ian has strict orders to take pics while he's in Vegas and email them to me so that I can post something on our blog. Heaven knows that I'm at a loss for anything exciting.

I'm done with school on April 29th and I'm soooo soooo soooo ready. I am going to get a job this summer. Does anyone have any ideas what I should go for? I have no idea what to do, so any suggestions would be appreciated, even if you're just being a smart aleck. I always like that too :)

Hey Family and Friends,

I know that I tried this whole blog thing through a website that I had to create for a technology class that I am in. I got a bit of flack from the blog master (Erik) about not using Blogger. So, here we go. I'll see if I can figure it out and be more consistent than I was with my other one.

Ian gets home on Thursday. YEAH! I only have two weeks of school left, so I'm pretty stoked about that. Ian is going to be a UAA student starting in the fall also. We're both happy for that. We're NOT pregnant. I thought that I should put that out there, since everyone else in the family is breeding right now. Way to go guys! Make more nieces and nephews for us.

I'll post more when I have something to post about.
